PostSubject: The Cold War   Mon Aug 31, 2009 8:57 pm

What if the U.S. had more involvement in the Cold War, which I mean invading Russia.

Cold War was the inbred offspring of Eisenhower administration in which
he made thousands upon thousands upon millions of Americans believe
that communists are the biggest global threat there is. The hate during
this time was immense and pouring fuel on the fire, jackass, Joseph
McCarthy, blacklisted thousands of Americans and politicians blaming
them for being communist when a lot weren't (or were they?).

Vietnam and Korea were huge aspects of the Cold War, both trying to end
communism takeover in both southern nations of Vietnam and Korea. Both
ended in a bitter loss. However, the closest America got to pissing
their own pants was the Cuban Missile Crisis, which also was the
closest we have ever been into getting ready for a nuclear war.

I'm going to steal Vega's line here, the Cold War was like a Texas Hold
'Em match. You had your cards (nukes) and you either folded 'em (pulled
out of the Cold WAR) or you wanted for the flop (waited for someone to
whip the nukes out). Let's just say Russia and U.S. were the last 2
nations standing within the big Poker match, waiting for the last card
to flip. Both nations folded, but both got something out of it.

What if U.S. and Russia didn't fold, what would happen next and how would we fight it?

There would probobly be a lot of turmoil. But considering the powers of the two forces and their willingness to use them, I doubt there would ever be an invasion, just Massive ICBM slaughter.
